Weight - 237 lbs
Was it the gluten filled meal I had on Sunday? The birthday cake and all you can eat Sushi on Friday? Maybe I splurged too much.
Maybe it is time to understand this is where my body is and I need to focus on being strong and healthy - working out enough to be healthy, eating generally right.
Maybe it is time to seek out other help.
Maybe I am in denial. Maybe it is just me and my habits.

Fighting
Weight - 236.0
I definitely feel like I am fighting for every ounce. I hate it.
I finally got to the endocrinologist. I am not happy. He basically tried to whisk me in and out figuring that because my levels were "normal", I would be in and out. He didn't even ask how I was feeling other than the cursory greeting, with which I replied "like crap". (When my levels are where they currently are, I have historically felt like crap. I need my levels a little lower to feel my best, which we have discussed, but he seemed to have forgotten.) I had to actually say "hold on a minute" to get him to stop whisking me out of the room and actually listen to me. I had to BEG to try adding in a medicine, but not until after I had to suffer through a lecture about how my thyroid isn't the cause of all my problems and I really need to have more tests, which he wouldn't order. All in all, it was a poor appointment. I think if he had been willing to just talk to me, I might have felt better about the whole thing. Needless to say, it is time for a new doctor.
(I did take the medicine this morning and I have noticed a huge uptick in energy and focus, we'll see if that is just because I know it should help or if it is actually helping.)

Bummer
Weight - 237.6 lbs
What a bummer. I ate well, exercised, etc. and I am down 0.2 lbs. I am sure that PMS is contributing, but this sucks.

And I am back
Today's weight - 237.8
Boo
But not unexpected. I have strong suspicions that my thyroid is off. Plus, let's be honest, I haven't been good at all about my eating.
All I can do it get back at it. And get my thyroid checked.

Let's Talk Numbers
July 21, 2015
Weight 231.2
Yep, that's a gain. I do not like it, but I am also not surprised. Not because I was eating horrible and not exercising (Minus one planned day of indulging, I was actually really low in terms of food intake. Hmmm, maybe that played a role.), but because of numbers.
My body has what I call "set points", which are weights that my body likes to be at. It is pretty easy to lose (or gain) my way to these points, but I get stuck there. I hit a plateau.
230 lbs is the first of those set points. It is frustrating. I work hard, but I gain for no reason. I give up, eat like crap and lose a bit. It takes time and patience to get through this. Once I hit 215 - 220, I will be in smooth sailing until about 200 lbs, but it is going to take some time to past the 230 number.
Patience.
Focus.
Determination.
(and maybe a little research to see if there is something I can do to help)

Weight -230.4Waist - 42.5
Hips -52.5
Thighs - 28.5
Upper Arms - 16

I have lost at least an inch all over (and 7.4 lbs) since I last measured. Pretty good. :)
Feeling pretty good about being focused and determined.
All in all, feeling pretty good.
For the fun of it, here's a time comparison I am not convinced I see a huge change, but I feel it.

Focus, Strength, Determination
Weight - 235.4
About 3 lbs of that is a scale adjustment. (I finally got smart and put the scale back on the tile floor.)
The rest is just me being lazy.
Last night at yoga, I made it the focus of my practice to refocus, stay strong, and stay determined. In that spirit, I packed a huge salad for lunch. :)
As a reminder to myself, here are my rules:
1. One simple carb per day.
2. Fruit is good, but not your best friend.
3. Veggies, veggies and more veggies
4. One protein based snack a day
5. No caffeine
6. No calcium rich foods before noon
