Quick Update

I am a few days into the new mode of operations.  I have actually gotten up at 5:30 am to work out and I have actually enjoyed it.  I love that my workout and most of my PT (the stretching part) is done for the day. I think this will work long term.

I also realized that with getting up at 5:30 am three times a week, I need to switch my weigh in day. (I really don't want to weigh myself and then get on an exercise machine - too many potentially bad associations.)  I had originally picked Tuesday because it is far enough from the weekend and after a yoga session, so it helps "correct" any weekend badness.  Except, I was using it as an excuse for weekend badness.  So now I am going to weigh in on Monday mornings.

This Is It

For real this time.

I mean it.

After hemming and hawing, I finally went to the doctor.  It is all in my head, but I need some help to deal with those things.  I am frustrated and feel like I have let myself down.  But, I do feel like I can move forward at the very least.

So, with that in mind, here we go with a new set of rules.
  1. Get on the elliptical (We finally got one!) three mornings a week.
  2. Yoga three days a week
  3. Weights/Full PT session two days a week
  4. Basic PT (Mackenzie Protocol, Squats, Planks) every day.
  5.  4 days before and 3 days after my scheduled cycle, simply write down what I am eating.
I am trying so hard to keep it simple right now.  I know how I need to eat to feel good.  I know that the hardest times to keep on track are right around my cycle.  I know that I am an emotional/stressful eater and hopefully new medication will help with that.

And yes, I said mornings for the elliptical workout.  I am hoping that getting up and getting my blood pumping will release some of the good stuff and keep me going.

Here's to getting started again.
