Weight - 233.0
I honestly thought this was a mistake. I have been traveling a ton, meaning I haven't been eating the best and I haven't been exercising. I guess those couple of days aren't really impacting me and I should take more credit for the days I spent most of my day walking around. :)

The Seventh Week
May 12, 2105
Weight - 235.8
Or something close to that. I had an odd weigh in this morning. My scale is a little wonky so I take a few measurements and usually pick an average or the one that shows up the most. This time I took a measurement, saw it was a 2 lb gain, and reweighed before I remembered that I mistyped my weight in my calorie tracking program last week.
Still about another pound down this week. I will especially take this one since I was on vacation and it is right before my cycle. I guess really watching it is helping. :)

The Sixth Week
May 5, 2015
Weight - 236.8
That's another pound down. I like it. Almost 10 lbs down now. Everything fits better and I just plain feel better.
I am at 95% of normal for the back. I am working hard to keep up my strength and the flexibility is slowly returning. All good news.
I recently read Better Than Before, which was recommended by a friend. It wasn't the easiest read in the world, but it had some good insights. I took away some good self-discovery moments (I am an Obliger - even if I don't want to be one, an Over-Buyer, a Finisher, and a Mostly Abstainer) and some good tips and tools to make things long term, healthy habits. If you want to read it, I would highly recommend grabbing it from the library. :)

Week 5
April 28, 2015
Weight -237.8
Waist - 42.5
Hips -53.5
Thighs - 29.5
Upper Arms - 17
Bust - 45
In the last month, I have lost 8 lbs. It is almost too much - I'd really like to stay at 5 lbs a month. It does meant that I got my shoes. :)
I am back to counting calories because well, I felt like I had to do something. It keeps me accountable - if I eat that chocolate bar, I need to input it. I am trying to not be obsessive.
The back is still in bad shape and with travel in May, I am taking it easy. I have backed off to yoga only.

The Fourth Week
April 21, 2015
Weight - 239.4
I honestly have no idea how that happened. I am sure it was a combination of water loss and working hard.
Of course, I threw my back out today.
So now I am going to be focused on making sure I heal up and eat right.

The Second and Third Weeks
Missed last week since we were on vacation
April 5, 2015
Weight - 243.6
Yep, that's a 1 pond gain over 2 weeks. Given that I am post-vacation and pre-time-of-the-month, it isn't horrible.
I am definitely having trouble going back to the lower food intake and skipping those sweets. I am trying to be kind to myself and have some patience, but today I am back at it. I have to stay committed.
Overall, I am sleeping better, clothes fit better (minus some bloating, maybe from no caffeine), and I feel so much STRONGER.

A Little Epiphany
I missed last week's weigh in because we were on vacation. I will do my regular check in next week.
I had a dream last night that I joined an adult women's basketball team. I don't know why - I never particularly enjoyed my two years playing basketball and I was never very good at it. Dreams are weird.
I wanted to quit, desperately. I wanted to call it a mistake and bow out gracefully. Then I remembered that we have insisted that the kids finish out the season for whatever team they have committed to and I was going to look like a hypocrite if I just quit. It wasn't a happy decision, it wasn't easy, but I had to finish out my obligation to the team.
Dreams are weird, but sometimes they can provide a little insight that you need. I need to view this journey as a team and I need to follow through on my obligation regardless of how hard or boring it gets.
